Upgrading to Pro

Extra Fields for ACF includes a built-in upgrade flow powered by Freemius. You can purchase a Pro license and activate it without leaving the WordPress admin.

Start the upgrade

  1. In the WordPress admin sidebar go to Extra Fields → Upgrade.
  2. The pricing page loads inside wp-admin — pick the plan that suits your site count.
  3. Complete the checkout. Freemius handles the payment securely and sends a confirmation email with your license key.

Activate your license

After purchase, your Pro fields unlock automatically if you completed checkout while logged in to wp-admin. If that didn’t happen:

  1. Go to Extra Fields → License.
  2. Paste your license key from the confirmation email (or from customers.freemius.com).
  3. Click Save — the plugin verifies the key and enables all Pro field types immediately.

Free fields stay free

Upgrading to Pro adds new field types — it doesn't change anything about the free fields you're already using.

Manage your subscription

Visit customers.freemius.com to view invoices, change your plan, transfer a license to another site, or cancel your subscription.

Move a license to a different site

A license is tied to a domain. To transfer it:

  1. Go to customers.freemius.com → your license → Deactivate the old site.
  2. On the new site go to Extra Fields → License, enter the same key, and click Save.
